Fashion Colour Trends for 2005/6

Black is back for Autumn 2005. The best use of black this season is when used in velvet or lace. This new black often has subdued and subtle decoration and is defined by its texture and structure.

The purity of graphic Black and White combined with nautical Deep Ultramarine for a crisp effect, modulated by neutrals, or accented with colour.

You will see many 2005/2006 fashion clothing trends defined by colours that include purple, aubergine, navy, petrol, peacock teal blue, raspberry, mustard yellow, gray, burnt orange, forest green, moss and earthy tones against black.

2006 season : Colour is toned down, more muted - not pastels, not bright, but a nuance in-between. A range of quiet shades represented by soft Sand Dollar and warm Clove. Harmonious combinations of Brown and Blue-Green continues as exemplified by the frequent pairing of Clove and Blue Tint.

2006 Keycolours will include French Vanilla, Sand Dollar, Blue Tint, Cameo Pink, Lily Green, Skyway, Viola, Melon, Clove and Deep Ultramarine.

Women's Fashion Style Trends for 2005/6

Minimalism will continue through spring/summer 2006.

Sixties and Glam Rock seventies retro chic. Sixties styled floral smocks, monochrome prints and stripy black and white sweater dresses. Knee high boots and accessorise with jauntily perched caps. Tight silver and red trousers, shaggy jackets and skinny scarves. Mini shirts under Maxi length coats cut to emphasise the figure. Classic trenches, pea coats and tight and cropped jackets. Coats with hugh sleeves and sexy short capes.

From what we can see emerging The Bohemian trend is going to continue through 2006, with a strong emphasis on the Eastern European gypsy look. Chic Vintage.

Fashion designers show a lot of interest in feminine styles, small prints and sleek, neutral accessories, natural fabric variations and embroidery adding visual interest.

Men's Fashion Trends 2005/6

Classic and elegant and even less 'overdone' than before. Glamour and sophisticated elegance rule. The polished look!

Suits formalwear and tailored instead of streetwear. Chalk stripes and pin strips, sound colours and matching classic ties, or neck scarf's. Sophisticated formal shoes.

Velvet Blazers either black or brown. Tweed jackets, gray and neutral. Creative knits in exquisite colouring and patterns in a more sophisticated approach rather than loud and brash. Classic argyle patterns in new muted colours, and simpler arrangement, mostly cut into vests. Hottish fabrics are cashmere and fine wool.

Casualwear : low waist blue denim jeans. Sweaters of all kinds, inspired by British country life. Cardigans are slimmer and not zipped. Casual mid and low rustic boots and cowboy boots.
